The Comac group, based near Bergamo in Northern Italy, is a manufacturer of keg cleaning and filling machines and bottling plants. Eurosource, Inc. is the sole agent for Comac in the United States.
The line of machines extends from semi-automatic cleaning machines with a capacity of 15 kegs per hour to fully automated plants with capacity of 120, 180, 240 , up to 1000 kegs per hour with peripheral equipment such as external keg cleaning units, keg turners, keg scales, keg capper and decapper and keg-palletizing systems.
The machines include a stainless steel main frame, one or several cleaning and filling heads according to the model, all necessary electrical and pneumatic components, valves, supply and return connections and piping, and are controlled by a memory programmable Siemens of Allen Bradley PLC (other PLCs are available upon request).
The kegs are internally washed using caustic and/or acid, then sterilized and filled with minimum product loss, oxygen pick-up, and CO2 and energy consumption. Each washing and filling cycle is controlled by ultrasonic sensors and each step is analyzed by the control panel to ensure a perfect completion of the process.
