U.B. Plastics Limited was established in 1983, the brainchild of David Cox formerly of Winter Cox Limited, manufacturers of wooden shives (bungs), keystones (faucet plugs), porous and hard pegs for more than 60 years. Together with the technical and commercial input of Roy Caswell, the current Managing Director of U.B. Plastics, a complete range of plastic products were developed. These plastic products were technically and environmentally superior and more economic that their wooden predecessors. U.B. Plastics also developed a range of plastic keg caps for the rapidly growing keg beer market. Its customer base includes Coors U.K., Interbrew, Carlsberg Tetley, Bass, Scottish Courage, Greene King and Fullers.
U.B. Plastics Limited is situated in Burton on Trent, Staffordshire in the heart of England. The town is famous for its unique source of underground water, which is pure and especially suited for the brewing of beer. This has resulted in the area becoming the centre of Brewing in England.
U.B. Plastics Limited is now the largest manufacturer of plastic moulded products for the beer brewing industry, supplying the U.K., Ireland and mainland Europe. It has formed a relationship with Eurosource, Inc. of Dallas, Texas who is successfully marketing and selling their keg dust covers and tamper evident keg caps in the U.S.A.
